What we do...
We buy unwanted Jewellery, Gold, Silver, Antique items for a fair, live market price to let you free up cash from things you no longer need. Having access to a huge network of jewellers across the UK; our aim is to offer market leading prices for your unwanted items as well as 'trade' prices for second-hand jewellery and antique pieces. We firmly believe in the reinvention of Jewellery and retain as much as we can as re-sellable items; melting and bullion are always the last resort. As well as our core 'cash-for-gold' service, we also offer further services including:-

How we do it...
Every week (weather dependant in Winter) we visit local towns and villages throughout the North-East, to bring specialist valuation services directly to you. Our teams are also on hand 7-days per week in the North-East to offer house-calls if this is more convenient.
We also work out of an office in Jesmond, Newcastle on an appointment basis where you can bring all of your goods to us and discuss any service that you may require at the time.
No TV or Radio advertising campaigns need their costs covered so we can offer live, market-leading gold & silver prices based on the stock price and can always match or better any auction valuations that you may have received (trust us on the auction front, you are generally always better off with an instant offer because of associated auction costs).
More than anything, we are just local, friendly faces with a passion for the Jewellery trade and treating our customers fairly.
Who we are...
A small, but ever-growing, team of Jewellery and precious metal connoisseurs, based in the North-East of England with extensive experience in Precious Metal trading, Jewellery Retail, Luxury Watches, Diamond Grading and more. The main focus of our business is to offer market-leading prices for your unwanted items while reselling at fair prices, as far away from ‘RRP’ as possible. In short; we want to bring trade services and options to the general public. Having seen every level of Jewellery (from manufacture, retail, second-hand, alterations Etc) we believe a lot of the options given to the public by most high-street Jewellers are not completely fair in nature.
Every article of Jewellery has a great story to tell and we endeavour to value every item on its own merit, not just via the weight or carat, and this has helped establish ourselves as one of the best buyers of second-hand antique jewellery and diamond-wear in the market.
The business idea was founded many moons ago and ran almost part-time alongside other business ventures for years but North East Jewellery Exchange was born off the back of a very successful period of 'Roadshow' Events where a comprehensive network of customers and venues were established in the area.
The founders and acting Directors/Head Valuers; Dan and Joe both embarked on their precious metal journey in 2010 as part of an English pawnbroking company in the Greek capital of Athens and bring a wealth of experience in jewellery & watch valuation. Here in 2024, the plan is now to find a permanent new office for the company (preferably with a showroom for second-hand jewellery and antique items) and continue to run our weekly events through the glorious Community Centres and Village Halls within our region; bringing our experience and services to your doorstep.
